At last have come the witching hours
When ghosts and goblins dare to meet!
The gargoyles and the ghouls all prance
In gutters where the children trod
At day before a yawning trance

This was so amazing! Seriously, within fifty words you've:
- established a protagonist and antagonist
- established a motive, a plot, and themed it accordingly
- used symbols in this prose which carry the concept of the shadow
and finally
- Creates a story in itself.
